QUESTION

ANSWER

How long will it take to receive my photos?

For photo sessions it takes 2-4 weeks. For weddings and elopements it takes 10-12 weeks. During the months of October-January it may take a week or two longer due to the high volume of clients I receive during the holidays.

How do I receive my photos?

Once your photos are complete I will send you a link to a private online gallery where you can download both your high-resolution and web-sized files (web-sized are more ideal for sharing on social media).

How long have you been a photographer?

I have been shooting professionally for about 5 years now.

Can I receive the RAW files?

My photography is my artwork, and without the post-processing methods that I apply to my photos it is unfinished artwork. For this reason I only release the finished, professionally edited, high-resolution photos to my clients and nothing less.

Do you retouch the photos? If so, what type of retouching is included?

Yes, I do offer retouching! I always remove any small blemishes, cuts, or bruises, and smooth out skin in every photo. Other types of retouching can also be applied upon request for an additional fee. For example, removing tan lines, removing wrinkles, changing the shape of a person's body in any way, etc.

How do I book a photo session or wedding coverage?

For photo sessions I will send over an agreement for you to review and sign electronically, and then a $100 nonrefundable deposit is required to officially reserve your date.

For weddings and elopements there is a bit more involved in the process! I will first send over a questionnaire for you and your fiance to fill out so that I have a few more details about the vision you have for your wedding day. After that, we will set up a phone call so that we have the chance to meet each other and go over an example timeline. If we feel like we're a good fit and would like to move forward with working together I will send over an agreement for both you and your fiance to review and sign electronically. From there, a $1000 nonrefundable deposit is required to officially reserve your date.

What should I wear to my photo session?

Once you have booked your session with me I will send you a styling guide that contains tips on styling for your session! The colors that seem to look best with my editing style include soft neutrals (ex. light grey, beige, really pale blues) and warm earthy colors (ex. olive and forest green, mustard yellow, burnt orange). Black and white are classic and will always look good, along with any kind of denim. Shades of maroon and red look great, too!

Who selects which photos will be edited?

Great question! ;) I do. I carefully go through each photo taken (for both weddings and portrait sessions) and select the best of the bunch to edit and deliver in your gallery. I used to allow my clients to select their photos, but with experience I realized that (1) this process takes more time for me to deliver the photos to my clients and (2) my client's selection was almost always identical to what my selection would have been. So I just decided to cut out that middle step :)

What if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

If it is raining, storming, or if there are winds over 20mph (or 12mph if it's at the beach) we can reschedule your session to another date if you prefer. If you can't reschedule to another date and are open to an indoor setting that's totally an option, too! Since the weather in Florida can be pretty unpredictable I recommend waiting until either the day before or the morning of your session to make the decision on rescheduling. If you are paying to have your hair and makeup done for your photos then I also advise checking in with your hair and makeup artist to ask them about their rescheduling policy and how many hours in advance they would need notification.
