Overflowing with nostalgic charm and complemented by a touching ceremony and party of a reception, this Alta Peruvian Lodge wedding was equally wild and breathtaking.
Meet Monique and Jason (you’ll love them as much as we do)
This super active and life-of-the-party couple is incredibly outgoing and so easy to have a good time with. Monique and Jason met through mutual friends at a bar. Jason called Monique the following day to go on an official date, and the rest is history. Although they’re from the West Coast, the two of them grew up in Utah, and as big skiers, it only felt right for them to have an Alta wedding!
All the vintage charm for this Alta Peruvian Lodge wedding
This venue’s old-school ski lodge vibe was as cozy as you can imagine. Perfect for Jason’s love of skiing, the Alta Peruvian Lodge is set in a breathtaking location with majestic views and picturesque mountains. The location, its warm feeling, and the special place it held for the couple, and the incredible ceremony site had to be the highlight for us photographers.
A secluded grove of golden Aspen trees
Their first look took place in a secluded grove Andrew and I found while location scouting. It was astonishingly intimate, and the Aspen trees really showed off those peak Autumnal colors with their vibrant golds and burnt oranges.
Mismatched bridesmaid dresses, with gorgeous fall tones
Let’s pause to enjoy this aesthetic — beautiful florals and mis-matched bridesmaids dresses with different shades of pink, maroon, gold, and textures to dream about.
Organic & romantic: October wedding in Utah
Let me tell you, these two really know how to kick off a marriage. The ceremony was so beautiful and lighthearted with Jason’s endearing vows and Monique’s outgoing personality shining through. And, with a ton of amazing friends and family to help them celebrate, their reception really felt like a once in a lifetime party, featuring plenty of dancing.
Fun moments from the day
Because this group is such a blast, there were so many fun behind the scenes moments. The bridal party all did a group shotgun at the beginning of the reception, which really set the tone for a great night. And to go out with a bang, several of them, including the couple, jumped into the pool before their sparkler exit (even though it was already freezing outside!!)!
Wild emotions too
I would be remiss to not mention the family member that was missing from the day’s festivities. Jason’s late brother was a big time skier and much loved friend. His presence was felt, though, as this couple took the time to honor him among the many celebrations.
